RAMAGLI FERENTINO PPALAOLIMPIA

«Given the mindset and physical condition of both teams, it was a good game. Towards the end none of them were thinking too clearly, but it’s quite normal given the time of year». This was the first statement in the press room by Alessandro Ramagli, coach of Tezenis Verona, after their 86-79 victory over FMC Ferentino in the PalaOlimpia, on day twenty-nine of the A2 Gold championship. Ramagli explained: «During the first period their offensive system was better, but their defence improved in the second period. FMC tried to make a breakthrough but we were stronger in our half of the court. It was a serious and important match in preparing us for the playoffs. I’m satisfied because it is the result I wanted from today’s match. Giuri? You can understand what he’s worth by studying his progress over recent months. He has always made his presence felt and today more than ever and he was decisive in both offence and defence. It was his turn today, and it will be somebody else’s another time. What should we change at the end of the season? As little as possible being as we’ve nearly always won so far. We could make a few adjustments and try to add a bit more to our game. Everyone’s getting back into really good shape. Today Boscagin had good minute count and his intuitions were good, and he and the others are getting their right spark back, and as soon as they get there we’ll be ready for the playoffs».
